Season 53 was another good one for the Millican Team. Once again, the team reached a new high in points scored in a season with 870 points, and we stayed in Divisions 3 and 4 for the entire season. Nate Thurston led a very competitive downhill squad to 3 wins and 7 results en route to the #40 overall OCM ranking for the season, scoring points in every DH race he entered. He now has 16 wins and 34 results overall, at just 28 years of age Millican has high hopes for many strong seasons to come!
There were a few personnel changes this season, with the retirement of original captain Trent Wellham, the addition of new DH guide Abdallah Murekezi to the DH squad, and the arrival of Orsino Macagno, Timoteo Posados, and Laurent Content to our developing sprint train. Goals for Season 54 include finishing the training of DH talent Marzouk Salil, finding or training a sprint captain, and scoring some points with the sprint squad! We're also looking into investing in the TT-center this season, or other equipment upgrades as we have now maxed our doctors and service mechanic.
Looking forward to what Season 54 has to offer, and hoping for another haul of DH victories!
